Mourinho lists Mikel in Chelsea’s UCL squad

03 September 2015, 16:04Israel Ojoko

London - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has named John Obi Mikel in Chelsea’s 23 man squad for the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League.

Mikel, who was reported to be heading out of Stamford Bridge, saw a move to Besiktas among other clubs fail, and will now remain at the club for another one season.

Chelsea will be competing in Group G against FC Porto, Dinamo Kyiv and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

The Nigeria international has played just one of Chelsea’s four Premier League matches this season, coming in as a substitute for Pedro Rodriguez in the Blues’ 3-2 away win at West Bromwich Albion.
