Warri - The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has extended
the tenure of the Nduka Irabor chaired League Management Company (LMC) to
administer the Glo Nigerian Premier League for another one year.
NFF, in a communique released at the end of its 69th Annual
General Assembly on Thursday in Warri, said the LMC have been given the
go-ahead to run the Nigerian Professional Football League till the end of the
The Assembly also approved the promotion and relegation of
teams as presented by the various Leagues: Nigeria Professional Football League
(NPFL); Nigeria National League (NNL); Nigeria Women League; and Nigeria Nationwide
The LMC has not decided on the kick-off date for the 2013/14
The General Assembly expressed heartfelt appreciation to the
President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck
Jonathan, GCFR for his immense support and encouragement of Nigeria Football
Federation which has spurred recent successes.
