29 November 2013, 09:39

Abuja - The Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday in Warri approved the extension in office of the members of the League Management Company (LMC).

The assembly’s communiqué stated that the extension was for the 2013/2014 Premier League season.

It also said the meeting endorsed the dissolution of the Forum of NFFs zonal co-ordinators as done by the NFF Executive Committee.

The communique listed the new zonal co-ordinators to include Seyi Akinwunmi for the South-West zone, Ephraim Chukwuemeka for the South-East and Christopher Green for the South-South.

``The rest are Ibrahim Gusau for North-West, Hussaini Modibbo for North-East and Yusuf Ahmed for North-Central,’’ it stated.

The communique also said the association’s congress approved the dissolution of the NFF Appeal Committee and its immediate reconstitution.

``The new NFF Appeal Committee is thus composed of Eddy Mark, Dotun Coker, Bala Garba, Sani Gusau and Victor Nwangwu.

``Lawrence Katken will serve as secretary, while the members are to elect their chairman,’’ it said.

The communiqué said further that the meeting also approved the dissolution and immediate reconstitution of the NFA Electoral Committee.

``The new members are Amaju Pinnick, Amoni Biambo, Prince Elube, Charles Nwokocha, Prof. Musa Garba, Patrick Pascal, Prof. Omolawon Kayode and Samson Ebombe.

``Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, the NFF’s director of competitions will be the committee’s secretary, while Joshua Onoja will be his assistant. The committee members will elect their chairman,’’ it said.

The communiqué said the AGA also approved the promotion and relegation of clubs as presented by the various league bodies after their various competitions.

``The league competitions are the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the Nigeria National League (NNL), the Nigeria Women League (NWL) and Nigeria Nation-Wide League (NNWL),’’ it added.
