06 November 2014, 06:47Tinswalo Baloyi

Lagos - The Nigeria Football Federation has invited South African journalists to apply for visas to cover the crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the two countries.

The match is scheduled for November 19.

“Members of the Media wishing to travel to Nigeria with Bafana Bafana are requested to forward their details to the SAFA Communications Department urgently. SAFA needs to pass on this information to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for accreditation purposes,” SAFA Media Officer, Matlhomola Morake, said in a statement.

“The South African Football Association is also in possession of letters of invitation from the NFF for visa processes. Anyone travelling to Nigeria will be forwarded the letter so they can start processing their visa application,” added Morake.

Bafana Bafana play the Super Eagles in the two teams’ last Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The sides played to a goalless draw in Cape Town in the reverse fixture.
