15 July 2015, 18:54

Abuja - The Nigeria Football Federation has reeled out the targets they have set before the new Nigeria coach, following the official unveiling of Sunday Oliseh as the new Super Eagles coach.

Speaking on the targets set before Oliseh, second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Shehu Dikko said one of the expectations that they have of Oliseh is for him to qualify and get to at least the semifinal of the Africa Cup of Nations, as well as using the CHAN tournament to discover and develop home based players.

“One of the targets we have for is to use the CHAN competition as a developmental process to discover home based players that can feature in the main Super Eagles team.

“The second mandate is for to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and at least get to the semifinal of the competition.

“And the third mandate is for him to qualify us for the World Cup and see how we can get to the quarterfinals and once he can achieve this, there is a clause that says the contract will be reviewed with the chance of extending it,” Dikko said.
