Lagos - Nigeria Football Federation technical committee member Christian Chukwu has distanced himself from the Super Eagles squad announced earlier this week.
A list of 23 players was released by the NFF for the two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.
Chukwu has confirmed that the technical committee was not consulted and criticised the Nigerian football body for making the announcement without having appointed a new coach.
"The technical committee was not part of the selection of the 23 players released this week for the Nations Cup qualifier against Congo on September 6," the former Eagles coach told The Guardian.

"I don't know where the list emanated from. If the NFF want to use another coach for the Nations Cup qualifier, on acting capacity, I think the coach would have been given the nod to select the players he wants for the game.
"The coach knows the pattern he wants to employ and the right players that would give him the result. It is not done anywhere in the world for a team list to be released without the consent of the coach that will handle the team.
"If it is me, (Shaibu) Amodu or any other coach that will work with the players, NFF would should have carried the coach along in players' selection."
