Abuja - Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were involved in a spat shortly before Nigeria took on Mexico in the final of the FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last Friday.
The vice president of the NFF, Mike Umeh, and its general secretary, Musa Amadu, were seen exchanging harsh words following the unavailability of a VIP ticket to the second in command.
Vanguard reports that the argument started after Umeh got upset when he did not receive one of the 20 VIP tickets allocated to Nigeria. His confrontation on Amadu then reportedly lead to a verbal spat.
Umeh reportedly told Adamu he was “useless” while Amadu replied that Umeh was an “idiot.”
The incident did not escape the attention of NFF President Aminu Maigari, who has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
