Napoli strong but concede goals - Roma boss

11 February 2014, 21:45

Rome - Napoli will have home advantage for the Italian Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday, but Roma boss Rudi Garcia believes his side's one-goal advantage should be enough to see them through.

Roma won 3-2 in the Olympic Stadium last week but Garcia said on Tuesday: "Napoli are strong, but they can also ship goals."

"We saw that in our two previous games against them."

It will be the third time the two have faced each other this season, with Roma holding the advantage, having also won their League encounter 2-0 in October.

Garcioa added: "We have the advantage but we won't sit back on it, we will play our own game and play to win, even though it will be hard in the San Paolo."

Napoli have had a day longer to recover from their weekend fixture, a comfortable 3-1 win over AC Milan, while Roma played out a gruelling 0-0 draw in the Rome derby against Lazio.

"It will be our third match (in 10 days), but it will be their fourth, we'll see which team is physically better equipped."

The previous week, Roma saw their game against Parma abandoned due to a waterlogged Olympic Stadium pitch, while Napoli played, and lost 3-0, to Atalanta in Bergamo.
