Nasarawa United Midfielder keeps title dreams alive

07 July 2015, 11:08

Lafia - Nasarawa United attacking midfielder Anyu Ishaya has insisted that his side can still catch Sunshine Stars and win the Glo Premier League title.

The Solid Miners played a very tactical game and bagged a 0-0 draw against Sharks FC in a match day 16 league fixture at the Sharks Stadium on Sunday.

The coach Baba Ganaru's side trail the Akure Gunners by eight points with 16 games played so far, but Anyu believes that their title target is still achievable.

“The distance between us remains the same, but the end of the season is still a long way off.” He told News24.

“We have all it takes, it was just a minor setback from the start of the season, but we are already getting our rhythm, God will also crown our efforts.”

Nasarawa United will continue their league campaign with a home fixture next weekend against Ifeanyi Uba FC.
