Lagos - Nasarawa United head coach Mohammed Baba Ganaru was
left ruing the state of the Liberation Stadium pitch after his side crashed to
a 2-1 defeat to Dolphins on Sunday.
Heavy rains during this past weekend's Nigerian Premier
League encounter left large areas of the field waterlogged, leaving Ganaru
convinced of the fact the game should have been called off.
However, the fourth official was not interested in the
coach's calls for a postponement, with Emem Eduok's brace eventually proving
the difference, despite Tamarakuro Debekeme getting on the scoresheet for the
Solid Miners 15 minutes from time.
"The rain really affected us," the coach told
"We couldn't play in the second half because of the
state of the pitch.
"There is no way anybody can play on this type of
