Amsterdam — Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has picked an
inexperienced squad including three debutants for a friendly against France in
Paris on Wednesday.
Van Gaal gave first call-ups on Friday to Jean-Paul Boetius
of Feyenoord, Davy Klaassen of Ajax and Quincy Promes of FC Twente as part of
his 23-man squad for the match at Stade de France.
The new players will have experience on hand from the likes
of Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder.
The Netherlands, losing World Cup finalist in 2010, has a
tough draw for the World Cup in Brazil. It plays in Group B with defending
champion Spain, Chile and Australia.
