Lagos - The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped four places
in the latest world FIFA ranking released on Thursday for the month of January,
Nigeria slid from 37th to 41st spot in the world.
The African champions also slipped three places on the continent,
going down from 4th to 7th place after giving way for Egypt, Cape Verde and
Mali who are now fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Ivory Coast, Ghana and Algeria maintained the top three
spots in Africa, while Tunisia, Cameroon and South Africa completed the top ten
on the continent.
Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal remained
unmoved in the world top five, as Brazil held on to the tenth spot.
