Lagos - The Super Eagles have moved down in the
latest FIFA ranking released by the world football governing body on Thursday.
Nigeria, who occupied the 36th spot in the world in
November, has now moved to 37th in global football ranking and stayed put on
fourth place in Africa for the month of December.
The team did not play any competitive
or international games within the period under review.
However, Ivory Coast maintained the top place on the
continent of Africa and 17th in the world, while Ghana and Algeria held on the
second and third spots respectively on the continent.
Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal all
remained unmoved in the world’s top five respectively.
