Lagos - The Super Eagles have moved one place up in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday by the world football governing body.
Nigeria now occupy the 33rd spot in the world, from the 34th it was placed last month.
The Super Eagles still maintain their 3rd spot on the continent of Africa. Algeria and Ivory Coast also maintain the top two positions.
Ghana’s Black Stars unseat the Pharoahs of Egypt from the 4th spot, as the North Africans now sit on the 5th place. Tunisia, Sierra Leon, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Senegal complete the top 10 in Africa.
Germany, Argentina, Netherlands, Colombia and Belgium held on to the top five places in the world.
