Lagos - Nigeria has maintained its 47th position in the latest FIFA World Ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association on Thursday.
The March ranking also saw the Super Eagles move one step upwards on the continent from February’s 8th to 7th, unseating Cameroon.
Ivory Coast and Algeria held on to the 1st and 2nd spots in Africa, while Egypt overtook Cape Verde to the 3rd position.
Ghana moved a step backwards from 4th to 5th, while Tunisia stayed-put on the 6th position in Africa.
In the global scene, the top five positions remained unchanged. Spain stayed on top, and they are trailed by Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Colombia.
