Cape Town - Players and officials of the Super Eagles got a
surprise treat when they returned from defeating Mozambique in the on-going
African Nations Championship, with the Nigerian Embassy in South Africa
providing them with local delicacies.
Team administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor described the
development as heartwarming and thanked the embassy and Ambassador Sunday Yusuf
for the gesture.
“The players were very happy with the meals and even the
officials led by Coach Stephen Keshi were happy about the meals and we hope to
see more of such gestures”, he said in a statement.
Nigeria takes on host South Africa in the final group game
of the tournament.
