Norwegian club snap up Sad`eeq Yusuf on loan from Gent

29 July 2015, 15:03

Oslo - Norwegian Tippeligaen club FK Haugesund have published on their official webpage that they have signed Sad`eeq Yusuf Ahmat.

The highly-rated starlet will spend the next five months on loan at the Premier League club from Belgian champions KAA Gent.

Sad`eeq Yusuf impressed during pre-season at Gent but the youngster has not been guaranteed playing opportunities in the new season by manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck and this contributed to the club's decision to farm him out on loan to continue his development.

A central midfielder or support striker, the 19-year-old featured in four pre-season fixtures for Gent and scored the most goals in those games.

Last March, Gent pulled off a transfer coup after convincing the Golden Boot Soccer Academy product to sign for the club despite being chased by the likes of Liverpool, Ajax Amsterdam and Juventus.

Sad`eeq Yusuf has contractual obligations with Gent until at least the end of the 2016 - 2017 season.

Former Super Eagles invitee Ugonna Anyora was on the books of Haugesund last term.
