"I love playing football, my love for football keeps me
going and I want to tell my kids that I've been everywhere playing football and
that I've scored so many goals everywhere I go to,” said Martins
"I love it when I'm not known where I go. When I joined
Seattle Sounders a lot of people didn't know me so I enjoyed it more that I
have to prove myself for them to know who I am.
"I think I love it that way because if they already
know me they'll predict what I'll deliver, but when they don't know so much
about me and I deliver so well then it brings more joy,” Martins stated.
Obafemi Martins who is popularly known as ObaGoal talked
about how the back flip celebration started.
"The back flip started when I was twelve years old
playing on the street I was so good at it but my friend told me that it'll be
nice if I do it each time I score a goal. Initially I thought I'll be too tired
to do that but he insisted that I should do it. When I did it after scoring a
goal the fans loved it and even asked me to do it without scoring a goal,” Obafemi
