Odemwingie credits boss

06 November 2013, 13:46

London - Striker Peter Odemwingie has praised Malky Mackay, his manager at Cardiff City, for his managerial skill both on and off the pitch.

The Nigerian forward said Malky conducted himself well despite the internal challenges faced by the club, following the exit of head of recruitment Iain Moody, who was replaced by Alisher Apsalyamov. This has led to speculation about Mackay's own future at the Welsh side.

Odemwingie, who joined Cardiff from West Brom in the summer, said on Eatsleep Sport that Malky is a very good motivator and clearly indicates how he wants his players to communicate on social media. He added that "he knows the right words and he speaks very well.”

Cardiff defeated Swansea 1-0 in a local derby of the English Premiership on Sunday, and are placed on 12th position on the log with 12 points.
