Ogunbote ahead of other managers to take over at 3SC

Abuja - NPFL club the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) continue their search to replace former coach Franklin Howard, who was shown the exit door after the Oluyole Warriors poor form in the first ten weeks of the 2014/2015 NPFL season.

 Three top coaches have been listed for the top job at 3SC, former Kwara United coach, Samson Unanel helped the Harmony Warriors secure promotion to the NPFL but the Ilorin based team decided to part ways with him.

Former Golden Eaglets coach, Alphonsus Dike has also been mentioned to be in line but current Sharks FC coach, Gbenga Ogunbote looks to be likely favored.

 According to a source who pleaded anonymity in a chat to News24, Gbenga Ogunbote is highly favored for the top job in Ibadan. 

 "Three coaches have been listed, Samson Unanel, Alphonsus Dike and Gbenga Ogunbote," he said.

 "In fact Ogunbote is right now in Ibadan, he has been around for some days though and I hope he'll get the job. A new coach will be named today or on Thursday.

Shooting Stars SC are second from behind on the NPFL log having played nine games. The Oluyole Warriors lost five, drew two and won two.
