Lagos - New Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh will meet with
Liverpool forward Jordon Ibe about the possibility of representing Nigeria at
The 19-year old Liverpool winger has represented England at
junior and youth levels but remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles,
though his father and the Nigeria Football Federation had stated earlier in the
year of their desire to have him play for Nigeria.

And News24 can confirm that Oliseh will meet with Ibe and
his father in England, with a view to convincing him to switch allegiances from
England to Nigeria.
Ibe is presently with Liverpool in Australia for their
pre-season ahead of the 2015/2016 season and has been tipped to play a starring
role for the Reds next season following the departure of Raheem Sterling to
If Ibe eventually chooses to play for Nigeria, it will be a
big win for Oliseh, who has said only players that play in the first division
of ‘credible leagues’ will get invitations henceforth to the Super Eagles.
The first hurdle for Sunday Oliseh is the Africa Cup of
Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Dar-es-Salaam in September.
