Abuja - Former Nigeria international Seyi Olofinjana has been dragged to court as a result of a rash tackle he made against a Nottingham Forest striker over three-years-ago.
The 27-year-old Dexter Blackstock is seeking compensation form both Olofinjana and his erstwhile employers Cardiff City, after a tackle from the Nigerian in November 2010 put him out of the game for fifteen months with a horrific knee injury, Kick Off Nigeria reports.
In his court action, Blackstock claims Olofinjana was "negligent" in "failing to play the ball" and "challenging in a way that caused a reasonably foreseeable risk of injury" in the 88th minute of the game.
