Ottawa - Asisat Oshoala emerged the Most Valuable Player at the concluded FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup held in Canada.
Nigeria lost 1-0 to Germany in the final played on Sunday.
The Nigerian beat France duo of Griedge Mbock Bathy and Claire Lavogez to the prize.
Oshoala also bagged the Golden Boot award after finishing top of the scorers’ chat on seven goals.

Nicknamed Superzee by her appreciative team-mates, Oshoala owes her accolade to her speed and nose for goal.
As well as serving up two assists, the insatiable Oshoala, on her way to the top, found the back of the net seven times in all, reaching her peak in the semi-final against Korea DPR, when she became only the third player in the history of the competition to score four goals in a single game.
