Abuja - Kano Pillars captain and goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai, has said his side have been boosted for a third shot at the domestic league shield by the car and cash gifts from the state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso on Thursday at the Government House in Kano rewarded each of the 25 players with a Toyota Corolla car and N700 000, SuperSport reports.
The three coaches got a car each as well as N500 000 while the backroom staff got cash gifts as well.
The governor's largess is a fulfilment of his promises to the side after they emerged champions of the 2012/13 Glo Premier League season.
