Lagos - The Nigerian champions, Kano Pillars have vowed to wrestle the league summit in the rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday Eight encounter against leaders, Heartland at the Fifa Technical Centre, Abuja on Saturday.
The first fixture was inconclusive due to crowd disturbance at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofarmata, Kano. The tie was barely 30 minutes before trouble started leading to its abandonment. The League Management Company (LMC) stepped in to move the game to a neutral ground in Abuja.
The LMC on Monday confirmed the rescheduled game will hold on Saturday in Abuja instead of the widely speculated Thursday, May 30 in Lokoja, Kogi State. The body had initially fixed the game for Wednesday, May 29 in Abuja.
