Abuja - Reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Kano Pillars, continued to lay down the marker as they carved out a four-point lead at the top of the standings following Wednesday’s round of matches.
Pillars, NPFL champions for the last two seasons, seem to have one hand on the title after a thrilling 3-2 win over Ogbomoso club, Crown in Kano in one of ten games decided as the competition entered match day 31, SuperSport reports.
The champions, who have now amassed 53 points from 31 matches, got their noses in front through Isaac Loute in the 11th minute before Adamu Hassan added a second for Sai Masugida a minute before the break.
