Abuja - Super Eagles midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim has reacted to comparison between himself and Nigeria legend Austin Okocha, insisting he isn’t close to the level of the former Eintracht Frankfurt, Fenerbache, PSG and Bolton Wanderers midfield maestro yet.
"I can only dream of emulating and surpassing what he achieved in his career but I am no heir to Jay Jay Okocha, I am Rabiu Ibrahim" He told News24.
"Although the comparison shows how highly rated I am in the eyes of soccer loving Nigerians but, out of respect for what Okocha did for Nigeria, it's not right to put an upstart like me in his shoes at least not now, I am still learning the ropes".
