Remo Stars FC set for season kick-off

10 February 2014, 11:44

Abeokuta - Remo Stars FC are wrapping up preparations for the kick-off of new football league season on Saturday.

The Sky Blue Stars will compete in the Nigeria National League and the Federation Cup.

"Well preparation for the new season is almost done, the technical crew have completed screening for players and have recruited some good legs to replace those that left the club last season”, the club's Public Relation Officer, Michael Onikute said.

"Now the team is engaged in some friendly games to shape up for the new season. These games are to help the new recruits fit into play with the old players, find the rhythm and understanding among themselves."

"It’s really going to be an interesting football league season for us and we are hoping to have a successful outing. We have been playing top notch friendlies and there is another one coming up against Premier League side, Bayelsa United on Tuesday in Ijebu-Ode."

The team welcomes Shooting Stars of Ibadan to Ijebu Ode in their week 1 fixture in the National League this weekend.
