Roma might lose Nura to Barcelona

22 September 2015, 14:33

Milan - AS Roma are running the risk of losing Nura Abdullahi who is on loan from AC Spezia to Spanish giants Barcelona.

The 17 year old joined Roma on loan with the option of a five year deal based on his performances, but unless they bring forward their option of a professional contract, the right full back might be snatched by Barcelona.

Nura shone like a million stars in a UEFA youth league between Barcelona and AS Roma last week and immediately the team have instructed their scouts to keep tabs on the speedy fullback, who attacks and defends with aplomb from his right full back position.

"Yes we already know he is on Barcelona’s radar but nothing has been decided yet and at the same time if there is any delay from Roma in handing him a professional contract , he might be off to Barcelona," a source close to the player told News24.

He joined Roma on loan from Spezia alongside Sadiq Umar, after a prolific season for Spezia in the Primavera in Italy and this season they have both hit the ground running with Umar scoring four times against Napoli last weekend.
