Lagos - Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia has admitted his
team must improve in front of goal ahead of the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian U23 finished third at the just concluded All
Africa Games in Congo, after an encouraging start, but were largely undone by
their failure to convert the numerous scoring opportunities they created.
And Siasia reckons he must bring in goal scorers before the
start of the competition in November.

"We really need to bring in players that can score
goals. We missed a lot of chances in Congo and it is one thing we have to work
on," said Siasia.
"It is a problem we must rectify before the CAF U23
Africa Cup of Nations because we cannot afford to be creating so many scoring
chances and fail to score as many," Siasia added.
The team is expected to resume training and preparations for
the competition within the next couple of weeks, and Siasia also adds that he
must get defenders as well as strikers.
"We also need to get defenders as well. We made a lot
of mistakes at the back during the All Africa Games, and it is another area we
have to work on when we resume," he said. For
