Sone Aluko's goal will give him confidence, says Steve Bruce

20 August 2015, 21:43

London - Hull City needed a late goal from Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko to secure all three points in the third round of games played in the English Championship on Wednesday.

Following the victory, which was their second straight home win, The Tigers now have seven points in the kitty after drawing last weekend's clash against Carl Ikeme's Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce was impressed with the performance of Sone Aluko after he popped up with the game - winner four minutes from time.

''Overall, though, I thought Sone showed the brilliance that we all know he has got,'' said Steve Bruce to the club's official website.

''Three years ago he was fantastic in this league so we know he’s capable.

''He’s that clever one that can make things happen and the goal will do him the world of good. It will give him a bit of confidence.''

Hull City return to action on Saturday when they tackle Charlton Athletic at The Valley, London.
