Sunshine Stars defender Adeoye targets full points against Taraba

31 July 2015, 10:02

Abuja - Adeshina Adeoye has promised Sunshine Stars' full focus to the end of the season and says they have hope of bagging three points heading out to face FC Taraba this Sunday.

Sunshine Stars will be the visitors to the Aper Aku Stadium in Week 20 of the Nigeria Professional Football.

Despite facing a side that is winless in 17 games, the defender expects a competitive meeting with the Pride of Taraba.

“We are certainly more relaxed in the dressing room, but the intensity in training has still been the same because we understand the importance of winning the match in Makurdi,” Adeoye told News24.

“In football you have to do away with the good feelings, we have 19 games left and it is very important that we win the league title at the end of the season.

“I think that this is a good opportunity to for us to show our championship mentality.

“We can win with our style and we are confident we can win in Makurdi, but we know it is very difficult as they are also battling to beat the drop.

“They will want to win because they are rock bottom and we’ll go out on to the pitch with the same mentality as always too.”
