Sunshine Stars new Glo Premiership leaders

17 August 2015, 07:51Okoro Chinedu

Lagos – Sunshine Stars have shot to the top of the Glo Premier League after defeating Giwa 4-0 on Sunday.

The Sunshine men now leads the 20-team league log with 43 points from 23 matches while former leaders Enyimba are on 42 with the same number of games played to date.

Enyimba did themselves a disservice when held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Bayelsa United at Oghara on Saturday.

In other matches, Kwara United lost 0 - 1 to Wikki Tourists, Lobi Stars beat FC Taraba 2 - 1, Nasarawa United also posted a 2 - 0 victory over Heartland while Rangers  narrowly lost 2 - 3 to FC Ifeanyiubah.
