Sunshine Stars preparing for Enyimba upset

05 February 2014, 20:28

Akure - The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has assured fans of Sunshine Stars FC that the club would achieve success in the 2013/2014 Premier League.

ODSFA Director, Mike Idoko told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Akure that the club’s preparation was on the right track ahead of the season. On the club’s first match against Enyimba of Aba on February 21 at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure, Idoko said the club was up to the task of clinching the three points at stake.

“The team has been in an open camp that saw the players reduced to a sizeable number for us to improve on their welfare packages”. “We are now in closed camping at Ijebu Ode and will play two friendly matches before the commencement of the league proper”.

“We have reduced our players to a sizeable number that we can manage well. And we will probably play two friendly matches before the opening game against Enyimba,’’ he said.

He noted that with the preparation so far, the team if properly managed should be able to do well this season and clinch a continental ticket.
