Lagos - Match day 35 Nigeria Professional Football League
(NPFL) tie between Akwa United FC (Uyo) and Sunshine Stars (Akure) has three
points at stake but the ability to achieve such target is propelled by current
Visitors, Sunshine Stars have watched their grip at the top
two on the log slip off but standing at a distant fifth position may leave them
with nothing this season if the Owena Waves don't stay focused till the end. On
the other hand, Akwa United have got to fight for their lives, any more slips
will leave them in the trouble zone.

Sunshine Stars midfielder, Kehinde Adedipe who once served
as a ball boy at the Akure Township Stadium has expressed confident that his
team, Sunshine Stars’ target is to pick points on the road and keep maximum
points at home.
"We can achieve our set target, it's unfortunate that
we aren't in the top four at the moment but we've got four more games to secure
a continental ticket which I'm so sure we shall achieve starting with our visit
to the Nest of Champions stadium in Uyo,” Adedipe spoke confidently to News24.
Akwa United who are known as 'The Promise Keepers' also have
a chance to play on the continent next season courtesy of a Federation Cup
final which they've qualified for and will face Lobi Stars (Makurdi) on a yet
to be name date and venue but in the NPFL they are just two steps above the
relegation zone and any point dropped at home may change their destiny.
The match comes up today by 4pm at the ultra-modern Nest of
