Lagos - Former Nigeria coach, Austin Eguavoen says he has
confidence in the defensive prowess of the national team ahead of the 2014 FIFA
World Cup in Brazil in June, KickOff Nigeria reports.
Eguavoen revealed that he had some reservation regarding the
quality of Nigeria's defence prior to the friendly game against Mexico earlier
in the month. But the game showed the defense has improved.
Nigeria, placed in Group F, will take on Iran in their
opening match on June 16, before playing Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 21 and
Argentina in the final group match on June 25.
