Abuja - The Super Eagles were forced to a 2-2 draw by Glo
Nigerian Premier League champions, Kano Pillars in a friendly game played at the National stadium in Abuja on Monday.
Abubakar Ali and Rabiu Ali were on the score sheet for
Nigeria, while Bello Koformota scored two goals for Pillars, with one of the
goals coming from the penalty spot, to ensure the tie ended on even.
The Super Eagles are using the friendly to prepare ahead of
the 2014 Championship for African Nations billed for South Africa from January
11 to February 1.
There have been serious injury worries in Eagles camp over
top striker Gambo Mohammed, who also did not travel for the game in Port
Harcourt and Yinka Adedeji, who travelled for the game and was listed to start
only to cop a hamstring injury while warming up for the start of proceedings.
