Super Falcons need revamping

07 August 2015, 07:49

Abuja - Lagos-based coach Olatunde Lawson says the Super Falcons needs revamping to ensure that they win the Gold medal at the 2015 All African Games billed for Congo.

The team broke many hearts with their disappointing ouster at the 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers.

The girls have been charged by Nigerians to excel at the Games to restore the nation's confidence in them.

And coach Lawson believes revamping the team in the face of technical and management challenges is the way forward.

“The team needs to be revamped, there were technical challenges during the two-legged games against Equatorial Guinea,” he told News24.

“There were also challenges with management. Reports should have been submitted and I believe that the NFF should be studying it.

“At the end of the day, people are interested in the way forward. Doing well and winning the Gold medal at the All African Games is the main focus.”

The Super Falcons will be back to camp on Sunday 9th August

as they start preparation for the competition.
