Terry praises Jose's tactics

30 April 2015, 12:36

Cape Town - John Terry and Didier Drogba are both accustomed to winning trophies with Chelsea and Jose Mourinho, and the pair are delighted to be so close to another Premier League title.

The Blues left themselves just three points away from securing the top-flight crown following Wednesday's 3-1 win over Leicester City, where both Terry and Drogba were on the score sheet, with Ramires wrapping up the result late on.

"We're almost there," Terry said after this week's King Power Stadium encounter.

"We have to give the players and the manager some respect. What the manager has done in two years with these players has been different class.

"We were the best side by far up until Christmas. Okay we have had to grind out results, but the players and manager deserve a lot of respect, we have been very good all year."

Meanwhile, Ivorian striker Drogba, who had canceled out Marc Albrighton's opener for the Foxes, added: "We wanted to make sure the Crystal Palace game would be the one to give us the league so we pushed and scored fantastic goals.

"We don't get enough credit for the work we have been doing. We have been top of the league from the very beginning."
