Abuja - Villareal forward Ikechukwu Uche yesterday reportedly arrived in Mexico to have his medical, ahead of a proposed move to Mexico football powerhouse Tigres De Monterrey.
Ambitious Mexico side Tigres De Monterrey, will according to reports look to pairing the out of favour Super Eagles forward, with one of their latest signing from Marseille in France Pierre Andre Gignac, whose signing was confirmed yesterday.
The team took to social networks to say that Uche had touched down in the capital of Nuevo León early Wednesday morning, immediately heading to a clinic to undergo the medical required to complete his signing.

31-year-old Uche has being on Villareal’s books since the 2011/2012 season but, was loaned out to Granada and only got to feature for the team in the next season, when they were in the second division and finished as top scorer to help them gain promotion to the La-Liga.
He has previously played for Recreativo Huelva from 2003 to 2007, Getafe (2007-2009), Zaragoza (2009-2011), Granada (2011-2012) and Villarreal (2012-2015).
Uche will be leaving Villareal with a record of 34 league goals from 85 appearances.
