Udoji celebrates brace for Enyimba

28 September 2015, 20:39

Lagos - Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji is still reveling in his brace which handed the People's Elephants a 2-0 win over Wikki Tourists in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday.

The league leaders needed to get maximum points off Wikki, having lost to El Kanemi Warriors the previous weekend, which threatened to dent their title aspirations.

But Udoji, who rarely scores, got not one, but the two goals that secured a win for Enyimba and he has been celebrating the feat.

"I give God the glory for the victory in the match, and for my two goals. With God all things are possible, we still have work to do," the defender said on his Facebook page.

The 26-year old scored his first goals for the club since the 2009/2010 season, when he also scored two goals. It means Udoji has now scored four goals in five years for the club.

The win means Enyimba remains five points clear, this time ahead of Sunshine Stars, who defeated Abia Warriors 1-0, while Warri Wolves only played a 1-1 draw at Kano Pillars.
