Uruguay President slams Fifa for banning Suarez
21 July 2014, 13:43
Abuja - Uruguay President Jose Mujica said that Fifa should have assisted Uruguay striker, Luis Suarez with the service of a psychiatrist instead of a ban, Punch reports.
The president said that the new Barcelona signing would be far better off with psychiatric help, rather than a ban from football-related activities.
Suarez got a nine-game international suspension and a four-month ban from all football-related activity after being found guilty of biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini in Uruguay’s 1-0 win on June 24 in the group stages of the World Cup.
