Wolves coach speaks after win over Dedebit

16 March 2015, 11:16

Lagos - Warri Wolves coach, Paul Aigbogun says his side’s opponents in the first round of the Caf Confederation Cup, Dedebit FC “are nothing special” and were fortunate to only lose 2-0 in their first leg, first round game on Saturday, Supersport reports.

Goals from Oghenekaro Etebo and Gbolahan Salami condemned the Ethiopians to a straightforward defeat and Aigbogun says the only stand out qualities of the Ethiopians is their stamina and staying powers.

“They are not a bad team but to be honest, they are nothing special. They are very fit but I knew that before the game.

“Apart from that, I don’t think they are so fantastic. They are just a decent side,” Aigbogun told supersport.com.

Wolves however made hard work of the win and had to rely on a late Salami penalty to add some gloss to the scoreline.
