Lagos - Wolverhampton Wanderers have lodged a complaint with the English FA after Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was racially abused in a league game against Walsall at the weekend, Kick-Off Nigeria reports.
Ikeme and his Cameroonian teammate George Elokobi were reportedly subjected to racial abuse in the second half of their League One game on Saturday.
"Wolves will always strongly support its players who are the victims of discrimination, and Carl Ikeme and George Elokobi both displayed admirable restraint in the face of receiving the abuse on Saturday," a statement from Wolves read.
