Abiola Dauda scores again

02 March 2016, 16:03Israel Ojoko

Edinburg - Abiola Dauda netted his third goal for Hearts in a 2-0 win to finish off Caley Thistle's chances of getting anything from the game on Tuesday.

It will be Dauda’s third goal in six matches since joining the side on loan during the January transfer window.

Jamie Walker put the home side ahead as he burst into the penalty box, shook off his markers and rounded goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams, before the Nigerian doubled the advantage after the break when he pounced on a poor Greg Tansey pass back.

It was Hearts' first win over Caley Thistle in 12 meetings since 2011.

On February 10, 2015, Dauda, who signed joined Hearts on transfer deadline day from Vitesse Arnhem, stole the show for his injury-hit side when he scored twice in the last six minutes to secure a 3-0 victory over Ross County, after Jamie Walker’s opener for Hearts shortly after half-time.

Hearts are third on the log with 50 points from 27 games.
