Baraje linked with Abia Warriors

17 December 2015, 16:36

Lagos - Former Elkanemi Warriors head coach Zachary Baraje has been linked with the vacant coaching job at Abia Warriors.

The Kaduna-based trainer is being mooted as the replacement for Ladan Bosso who was sacked after he failed to meet the club's continental target, News24 understands.

According to reports in the local media, the ex-Dolphins coach is under consideration and could be appointed in the next couple of weeks.

Baraje is not new to Abia State football following coaching stint with seven-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba.

The coach was axed at Akwa United despite leading the club to the Federation Cup title.

Baraje is believed to be the ideal man to propel Abia Warriors challenge for honours in the upcoming season and could be in Umuahia to hold discussions with the club.

The tactician has never hidden his intention to return to Abia and has insisted in the past of completing a job he started at Enyimba.
