Celestine Babayaro bags ambassadorial role

Lagos - Former Chelsea left back Celestine Babayaro has been named the brand ambassador of Nigeria National League side Kaduna United.

The 37 year old who spent eight years at Chelsea from 1997-2005 before joining Newcastle United where he spent three years is expected to be unveiled by the team before the start of the NNL new season.

His elder brother Emmanuel Babayaro is now the chairman/CEO of the frontier Friends of Football, which recently secured a deal to manage the club for the next three years from the Kaduna State government.

Also appointed is a new media officer of the team Jide Bodunde, who is a radio football analyst in Kaduna and he will take over from Uba Mohammed who has been sacked alongside the backroom staff of the last administration.

Reports also have it that Ex Plateau United midfielder Stephen Musa who also played in Germany for Sarrebuck is now the team coordinator, while veteran league and Ex- beach soccer captain Abdul Issa is now goalkeeper’s trainer.
