Umuahia - Striker Chisom Chikatara and skipper Austin Obaroakpo have returned to Abia Warriors after they were dropped from the Super Eagles squad to face Egypt in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kaduna and Alexandria.

Report says there was immense joy and excitement when the Super Eagles duo returned to the Abia Warriors Camp in Umuahia after they were not considered by interim coach Samson Siasia the Egypt clash.

As soon as the final list was released, both Abia Warriors players jetted back to Umuahia with the next available flight and the camp exploded in ecstasy when they were seen by their colleagues, media officer Igwe Onuoha said.

The duo later participated in the evening training session where they gave a good account of themselves.

Nigeria host Egypt on Friday in the first leg clash before traveling to Alexandria for the return leg in Egypt.
