Czech Republic: Fatai scores double for leaders Sparta Prague

12 November 2015, 10:03

Abuja - Former Flying Eagles attacker Kehinde Fatai continued his amazing form in the Czech Republic top flight by scoring two goals for Sparta Prague to help them beat Teplice 3-1 on Sunday.

The ex-Astra striker scored the equalizer for visitors at the Generali Arena in the 33rd minute after Stepan Vachousek had shocked the home team with the match opener five minutes into the game.

His team mate Ladislav Krejci then put his team in the lead for the first time in the match mid-way through the first stanza.

The sharp shooter put the game beyond Teplice when he completed his brace fifteen minutes from time.

Fatai's double has set him on 5th in the top-scorers chart in the ongoing league season.

Fatai expressed delight after the game.

“We got the deserved result we wanted from the game after going one goal down early in the game,” Fatai told News24.

“It was indeed a good match and personally from me, I give Almighty Allah the glory for the two goals.

Fatai has been tipped by football pundits for a deserved call-up to the Super Eagles squad in the nearest future.
