Abuja - Goalkeeper of the Nigeria Under-23 team Sunday Daniel, says he’s
ready to challenge for a shirt in the Super Eagles if called up.
Daniel was the hero for Nigeria stopping two spotkicks in the semi-final and
final games, against host Senegal and Algeria respectively in addition to his
superb showing beside the sticks for Nigeria.
"I am ready to battle for a shirt in the Super Eagles if called up, I
don't freeze at challenges I warm up to it" He told News24.
The Enugu Rangers shot stopper went further by stating he feels himself and
some of his teammate deserve a shot at the senior national team.

"I am not the only one who deserve a call up from my team, as when you
look around they are other top players in the team who won't bulk at the chance
of battling for a spot in the Super Eagles".
Reacting to reports he will be leaving the local scene after his heroics, the
21 year old dismissed such suggestion but was however coy on reports, he won't
begin or end next season with Enugu Rangers.
"For now it's all speculations but as for what the future holds only God
knows that, will I begin or end next season with Rangers? Only God knows that".
